Some Some Some I Some I Murder, Some I Some I Let Go

September 19, 2009

Here is a set of images of street art that I found on an amazing abandoned building on Bowery. It’s a puzzle to me that the building has not been in use for quite some time, but now it’s serving the purpose of a street art gallery, which is fine by me.

Depth of palette is very important to me in my work. I want you to feel like you could chip a tooth, break a nail Β or poke out your eye when you look at one of my images. If it doesn’t evoke that feeling, then I feel I’m not quite doing my job right.

The names for two of these images come from “Candyman”, by Siouxsie & the Banshees and the third image gets its title from Paper Planes”, Β by M.I.A.

I’m off to the eye surgeon…and then, of course, the dentist!!! Sublime. Thank you for sharing this with me in Montreal. One day, Christopher, I’d like to take a walk with you in NYC and see things through YOUR eyes…
    Muchas gracias,
    Anita (heart + ex oh!)

Thanks so much Anita! I really appreciate the kind words. There is so much to see here and the purpose of this blog is really to share it with those who wouldn’t otherwise get to see it.

      C.
